About

I’m currently a graduate student in Ball State University‘s Curriculum and Educational Technology Masters program, and this digital portfolio showcases my journey in education.

While I’m not a traditional classroom teacher, I am a licensed K-12 All Subjects substitute through the Ohio Department of Education and have worked as a substitute teacher in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.

Professionally, I serve as a Course Approval Specialist for the United States Coast Guard’s Training and Assessment Branch at the National Maritime Center. My role involves reviewing and approving courses, instructors, and training sites for schools nationwide, ensuring that merchant mariners receive high-quality instruction. A fun fact about me—I’m also a licensed ship captain!

Beyond my work, I call Cleveland, Ohio home, where I live with my wife, Sarah, our dog, Johnny, and our cat, Gato. I have a passion for reading, outdoor adventures (hiking, fly fishing, and more), cooking, coffee and tea, health and wellness, and rooting for women’s sports.

Thank you for visiting my portfolio—I look forward to sharing my educational journey with you!
